The Western Entrance is the entrance you should arrive/enter the ACC  given the location of the Panorama Rooms and registration.

The recommended car park is the North Terrace Car Park as it is within close proximity to the Western Entrance and has a larger allocation of parks at this point in time.

Adelaide’s international and domestic terminals are located 7 kilometres from the central business district, approximately a 15 minute drive. For more information please visit www.aal.com.au

Banking hours in Adelaide are: 9.30am-4pm Monday to Thursday, 9.30am-5pm Friday. Most banks provide convenient automatic teller machines. Foreign currency exchange is available during trading hours.

Adelaide enjoys a mild climate, perfect for enjoying the great Australian outdoors. Alfresco dining, festivals, sport and fun in the sun is the way of life in Adelaide. The average temperature ranges from a mild 16°C (58°F) mid-winter in July, to a delightful 29°C (84°F) mid-summer average in January.

Trading hours are generally Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm, Saturday 9am-5pm and Sunday 11am-5pm. There’s late night shopping in Adelaide city stores every Friday until 9pm, and at Adelaide suburban stores every Thursday until 9pm. Trading hours on public holidays may be limited. Trading hours vary in country areas, with many larger stores opened extensively, seven days a week.

Adelaide’s central time zone is GMT + 9.5 hours. Adelaide is based on Central Standard Time and observes daylight saving time from early October to late March, when clocks are advanced one hour.

The South Australian Visitor Information Centre (9 James Place, Adelaide) is located in the city centre opposite the Adelaide Convention Centre and close to the Adelaide Casino and hotel precinct with regular tram access. Information is available on all regions of South Australia, provided by knowledgeable tourism staff, offering advice on what to see and do around Adelaide and South Australia.

Talk to an Adelaide City Council City ambassador for tourism information or directions. They are dressed in green and rove the city’s core retail area around Rundle Mall providing free information and advice to visitors.

Adelaide tap water is filtered, fresh and safe to drink.

There is a choice of transport modes to and from the airport. These include self-drive, hire cars, taxis and public transport. A public bus service is available via Adelaide City through to the north/eastern suburbs, with connections to rail and other bus routes. Phone (08) 8210 1000 or visit www.adelaidemetro.com.au

Airport City Shuttle offers a Door to Door service from Adelaide Airport to Adelaide Hotels, Businesses. Group discounts are available.

On arrival please make your way to the Information and Tourism Bookings Booth located on the ground floor of the terminal opposite the escalators.

The friendly staff will help you with booking and inform you of next shuttle time (approx every ½ hour)

City Shuttle Bus operating hours are as follows:

Monday – Friday from 6am – 9pm.

Saturdays from 6am – 6pm.

Sundays from 6am – 5pm.

The cost is only $10 per person each way.

Public transport buses – known as the JetBus service – pick up and drop off from the new bus stop location, left hand side of the plaza as you leave the terminal. Click here for map.JetBus services travel to and from the city, Glenelg and the north-eastern suburbs.All JetBuses are Metroticket services. Single trip and daytrip tickets can be purchased from bus drivers.

A taxi rank, is located left of the pedestrian plaza as you walk out of the terminal. Concierges provide a safe environment and allocate taxis to passengers.There is a $2 levy added to fares for taxis leaving the airport.

Car rental desks are located on the ground level adjacent to the baggage claim area.

Adelaide Airport’s car rental vehicles parking is now located on the ground floor of the new multi-level car park.

  • Picking up a rental vehicle: Your rental company will direct you to the correct parking location.
  • Dropping off a rental vehicle: Follow the signage to the car rental area on the ground floor of the new multi-level car park.

  • Adelaide weather is moderate. Year-round big blue skies mean average winter temperatures of 16 degrees Celsius (°C) and 28°C in summer. Hot days can be real sizzlers and easily reach 40°C.

    In December, the average temperature is recorded at a maximum of 28C and a low of 16C.

    Tickets to the Welcome reception, Poster Session are included in each full registration. Tickets to the conference dinner are subsidised at $50 per person for registered delegates, guest tickets are $125 per person.  Additional tickets for both events can be purchased for day registrants and accompanying partners. After registering for IMSTEC 2015 you would have been emailed a registration confirmation which lists all social functions for which you are registered. If you require another copy please email renee@laevents.com.au.

    Yes, you most certainly may – additional tickets can be booked when you register online, or through the Leishman Associates office. Please email your request to: paula@laevents.com.au. During the conference, bookings can be made at the registration desk, subject to availability.

    You must advise the conference managers of any special dietary requirements when you register for the conference. Caterers at each function will be informed of these. During the day there will be a buffet table offering food suitable for dietary requirements. If you are unsure, please don’t hesitate to ask staff at the registration desk.

    IMPORTANT – If your dietary request relates to a life threatening allergy, please ensure that you advise the organisers as soon as possible.

    Full Registration: All morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea is provided each day. All food at each social function is included, if you are attending.
    Day Registration: Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea is provided only for the day you have registered.

    It is suggested that delegates arrive at preferred sessions promptly to ensure a seat. If sessions become full then delegates will not be allowed entry. Please wear your name badge for entry into all sessions.

    When you book your accommodation your credit card details will be transferred to the hotel you have selected – please confirm this on check in with your hotel. Your credit card will not be charged until you check out. If you have arrived 24 hours later than your indicated arrival day you may find that you have forfeited your deposit.

    Any changes to the conference program will be announced during housekeeping notices each morning. You may also check with Leishman Associates staff at the registration desk.

    The members of the conference organising committee and Leishman Associates accept no liability for personal accident, loss or damage suffered by any participant, accompanying person, invited observer or any other person by whatever means. Nor do we accept liability for any equipment or software brought to the conference by delegates, speakers, sponsors or any other party. Please protect your personal property. Do not leave laptops, cameras, and other valuable items unsecured. Be conscious of individuals who appear out of place and are not wearing a conference name badge. Advise Leishman Associates staff if you notice anything suspicious.

    Delegates are not permitted to use any type of camera or recording device at any of the sessions unless written permission has been obtained from the relevant speaker. A professional photographer will be at the conference, if you have any issues with being photographed please notify the photographer or Leishman Associates staff.

    Please bring your PowerPoint presentation with you when you register. All speakers should present themselves to the Speakers Preparation Desk at least four hours prior to their scheduled presentation time, to upload their presentation. Speakers are also requested to assemble in their session room 5 minutes before the commencement of the session if possible, to meet with their session chair and to familiarise themselves with the room and the audio visual equipment. A technician will be present in the room at all times. There will be facilities to test and modify your presentation if required.

    Chairpersons will receive an email prior to the conference, reminding them of their responsibilities. If you are a chairperson and do not receive this, or have additional questions, please contact Leishman Associates.

    Power points will be available on the conference website following the conclusion of the conference. Speakers will be requested to sign a release form. This is not compulsory.
